I was introduced to Jakobien and was able to work with her for my introduction to truffles, for which I'm truly grateful.
Ceremony Day
Jakobien orchestrated the most beautiful and nourishing setting for my ceremony with truffles containing psilocybin, which allowed me to let go and open up to the experience. She prepared for the day by finding us a lovely space surrounded by nature, selecting beautiful music, and even spoiling me with lovely home cooked food after the journey was done.
During the journey I felt at times like a bird, flying and revisiting spaces from my past with new insight. There were tears and there was laughter, and lots and lots of gratitude. There was never any fear.
The Therapeutic Process
With Jakobien's guidance I set an intention to feel more at ease in my life - to be able to rest and enjoy the feeling that I am enough (instead of the constant nagging feeling that I should be and do more). Since this experience I feel like a real shift has taken place. I am no longer moving through life feeling frantic all the time and am able to have fun and relaxed in all the little moments more, no matter how messy they might be. Thanks to Jakobien I'm learning how to use psilocybin as another tool to support me in healing, growth, and enjoying this life!
Working with Jakobien
The entire experience has felt grounded, intentional, and safe. She is extremely knowledgeable about how psilocybin works with the brain, and with that wisdom has created a structure for the process that can support real change. The focus on intention and reflection in the two preparation sessions before the truffles ceremony and two integration sessions afterward were just as powerful as the journey itself.
I get the sense from Jakobien that she is a person who is doing exactly what she is meant to be doing. She draws from her own experiences with the psilocybin and other training, including trauma therapy, and that depth of knowledge really comes through in the way she non-judgmentally holds space and supports the process.
